Programming
High energy on the Folk in Motion Stage, with Land of Fire from Azerbaijan and the Ukrainian folk dancers Barvinok, while Bolivia Minka brings the ancient Diablada and Tobas dances to life; their masks sparkle in the sun and their rhythms sweep the audience along. Next come the graceful circle dances of Zora from Bulgaria and the harvest rituals of Mangalam & Kulu Dance from Sri Lanka, performed in dazzling costumes. Later, the air fills with the vibrant Cuban melodies of Cubanía and the sparkling movements of Indian Cinematic Dance that invite everyone to join in. As the day progresses, the Georgian Ensemble Sakartvelo enchants with rich traditional harmonies, and the evening ends in a whirlwind of strength and colour with Ansambli Dardanet (Kosovo) and Bolivia Unida Amsterdam. The grand finale brings the Korean Squid Games – join in and win!
At the Harmony Hub, the focus shifts to intercultural fusions and intimate encounters. The Lithuanian duo Yucca combines classical guitar with poetic vocals, while Hungarian Jazz Fusion blends folk melodies with jazz improvisation. Symphony of the Indus (Pakistan) surprises with a ten-piece ensemble merging South Asian and Western instruments, while Nakupenda Lebika (Tanzania) offers East African song and dance. Among the highlights is a Cameroonian fashion show and the Ballet de la Diaspora Camerounaise presenting authentic designs and dance as bold cultural statements. Playful performances as the much-anticipated Squid Game Experience complete the line-up, making the Harmony Hub both interactive and inspiring.
