On Sunday, February 22, the “Première” of a new ballet performance “Revelation” of Vlad & Veronika took place in the Delamar Theatre in Amsterdam. Vladyslav Detiuchenko and Veronika Rakitina from Ukraine are well known from the impressive participation of the dancers in Holland’s Got Talent 2025. The performance is being brought to theatres across the Netherlands.
Vlad and Veronika are not only partners in life, but also an artistic duo united by their passion for contemporary dance and creative exploration. Since 2023, they have been working together. Vlad creates choreography, while Veronika supports him, and together perform as a duo on stage. Their artistic approach is built on blending emotion, dramaturgy and visual language, where every gesture and movement becomes part of a story, and dance serves as a means of communication.
The ballet of the first piece “Everglow” is a deeply personal dance performance, reflecting on the first months of the war in Ukraine. Through movements, Veronika and Vladyslav share their emotions, memories, and inner experiences from that time. The piece is an intimate revelation – a quite dialogue between the performers and the audience. Every time they take the stage, they relive these moments, filled with faith, fear of the unknown, support, and the struggle to live and find true love. Vladyslav and Veronika dedicate it to all refugees who were forced to leave their homes and were separated from loved ones, family, and their homeland, emphasizing the universal power of compassion, courage, and the human spirit.
The performance “My Orpheus” is a surreal journey between worlds. It is inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and the artistic philosophy of Jean Cocteau. The performance explores what an artist leaves behind, how they become immortal through their creations, and the story of love, the search for oneself, and the desire to leave something meaningful for humanity.
“Remember us” was a special highlight of the evening, as the performance touched audiences across screens throughout the Netherlands leading Vlad & Veronika to victory at Holland Got Talent 2025.
The performances were beautiful and perfectly danced and moved the hearts of those present. The theatre was completed sold out and Vla and Veronika were overwhelmed by applause.
