This autumn, The Hague International Centre proudly celebrates a milestone: 15 years of supporting and connecting internationals to The Hague region. To mark their 15th anniversary, a special exhibition, will be on display in the Atrium City Hall from 8 October to 24 October 2025.
A city of global citizens
The Hague – home to over 200 international organisations including the International Court of Justice, OPCW, the International Criminal Court, NATO and Europol – is a vibrant international city, where thousands of people from around the world work each day to build a better, safer, and more just world. Since 2010, The Hague International Centre has been a vital resource for international newcomers, offering guidance and support to help them settle into life in The Hague region. Over the past 15years, the Centre has welcomed more than 60.000 internationals from all walks of life, each bringing unique perspectives and enriching the city’s vibrant international community.
Personal stories
The exhibition ’15 Years of The Hague International Centre’, showcases the contribution of internationals to The Hague, with personal stories of international residents who have made The Hague their new home. Most of them are now helping others to also feel at home in our beautiful city.
Visitors are invited to embark on a five-step journey throughout the exhibition, exploring the stages an internationalexperiences while settling in, and ultimately growing roots in The Hague. Through personal stories, the exhibition shows how internationals contribute to The Hague as a city of impact and innovation.
The stories also reveal how The Hague International Centre has impacted their personal and professional lives. Visitors of the exhibition are invited to engage and connect with the personal journeys on display, each one a footprint of the people whohave chosen to call The Hague their new home away from home.

The exhibition, will be located in the Atrium in front of The Hague International Centre from 8 October to 24 October 2025, and can also be visited during Museum Night at the Atrium, on 11 October.
