This fall, it’s happening: on Saturday 27 September Amsterdam will be introduced to a brand-new and special celebration: Oktoberfest Amsterdam. For the first time, this famous Bavarian phenomenon is coming to the Dutch capital. The iconic Olympic Stadium will be transformed into a festive meeting place with a Bavarian atmosphere, complete with long tables, schlagers, dirndls, Tyrolean hats and, of course, well-filled beer mugs. Under the motto ‘From Munich to Amsterdam’, visitors will be immersed in an authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere with a distinct Amsterdam flair: relaxed, open, cheerful and just a little bit different, mixing tradition and Amsterdam conviviality. Whether you’re a seasoned Oktoberfest fan or simply looking for a unique celebration, everyone is welcome.
