The conference underlines the vital role women play in peace processes, decision-making, and conflict resolution, in line with UN Resolution 1325. Over two days, participants will engage in workshops, panel discussions, and culturalevents. On December 9th, 2025 women activists from conflict zones will share experiences and strategies for building peace in their communities, including Israeli and Palestinian peace leaders from the NGOs Women Wedge Peace and Women of the Sun, while other attendees can participate in film screenings, musical sessions, and dialogues exploring the emotional and cultural dimensions of peacebuilding. On December 10th, 2025 high-level panels bring together heads of states, Nobel laureates, academics, diplomats, and activists from across the globe like the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria RESSA.
The Bertha VON SUTTNER Peace Prize will also be awarded in The Hague during the conference. Inspired by the first woman Nobel Peace Prize laureate, the prize honours those advancing peace, conflict resolution, and disarmament worldwide.
