Princes and Princesses Days at Paleis Het Loo

During the Princes and Princesses Days, everything revolves around being yourself. Come as you wish. Prince, princess, dragon or your own style… everything is possible. Dressing up is allowed, but not necessary.

The best garden party in the Netherlands
This summer holiday, from 19 July to 18 August, kids will be entertained every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with fun shows and activities, including a few classics from previous years. All activities take place outside in the gardens and stables. It is not necessary to reserve a time slot. There is a lot to discover all over the site. Play croquet XL, jump from leaf to leaf or do some crafts. With facepaint, the picture is complete!

New shows
Various shows are played during the Princes and Princesses Days. The show ‘The secret of the missing sheet music’, a collaboration with Tim Koldenhof Productions, will be played at the stables. Two musicians prepare a big and important performance, but an important piece of sheet music has disappeared. What now? Hopefully all will be well and the concert can continue!

At the very back of the garden, there is the soft and cuddly decor for ‘The Wonder Garden’. A performance without spoken text, with music, facial expressions and physical play, it becomes a theater experience for every child. This is a collaboration with Theater Stof. The play ‘Royal visit’ show new characters in every performance: from a jester who can talk to plants to a general and a princess.

Summer Days
The Summer Days take place at Paleis Het Loo throughout the summer. Join storytelling stages in the gardens or stables, make your own scent pouch, play family bingo, crack the code or take a guided tour through the palace. Bo, Puck, Jamila and François tell funny stories about the palace and its inhabitants in the audio story, which can be downloaded through the app on your smartphone or a loaner device.

Dutch Sign Language
An interpreter in Dutch Sign Language will be present several times. On 30 July and 28 August, the story stages for the Summer Days are interpreted and on 28 July, 4 and 18 August, shows and activities are interpreted during the Princes and Princesses Days.
